The dialup connection is working again, though it took almost a week. As I said, the whole experience vindicated my decision to keep my previous account as a backup.

In other news, I was thinking seriously about it, but I’ve decided not to create a wikipedia page for Jan Sleet. I know they prefer entries which are written by impartial third parties, and that use references (particularly references which are published on paper rather than pixels, which always amuses me). I figured that I might be able to get past these rules (designed so that people don’t use wikipedia for self-promotion), but then I realized I was trying to sneak past rules that I actually agree with.

When Al Schroeder put up a wikipedia page for his webcomic Mindmistress and it was taken down, I remember thinking that I thought it was a good rule (though I didn’t mention it to him), otherwise wikipedia becomes an advertising medium, which would be a shame.

So, sauce for the neohuman genius superhero is sauce for the intrepid gal reporter who solves mysteries on the side.
