On New Year’s Eve, I changed the theme here at the blog, and then a week or two later I happened to look at the stats, and I was surprised to find that I was suddenly much less popular. Very unpopular, to be honest, and I hadn’t been all that popular to begin with.

Oh, well.

I’ve never been one to let that sort of thing affect what I do, so I kept posting and writing and so on. To, I thought, an even smaller audience than before.

Then, finally (duh!), it occurred to me that I hadn’t set up the code correctly in the new theme for the stats. So, I fixed it, in the regular theme and the mobile theme, and now suddenly I’m slightly more popular again . Basically back to where I was before.

I repeat: Duh!

I guess it’s really true: lies, damn lies, and statistics. (At least that makes it sound like some sort of general principle is involved here, as opposed to just, you know, boneheadedness.)

So, hi, my wonderful regular readership. It’s nice to have you “back.”
