{"id":150,"date":"2008-02-04T22:08:05","date_gmt":"2008-02-05T02:08:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/u-town.com\/collins\/?p=150"},"modified":"2008-10-12T23:24:34","modified_gmt":"2008-10-13T03:24:34","slug":"mr-self-promotion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u-town.com\/collins\/?p=150","title":{"rendered":"mr. self-promotion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, I did a lot on the <A HREF=\"http:\/\/www.utownwriting.com\">utownwriting.com<\/A> site last night, and then I forgot to mention it here.<\/p>\n<p>There were a couple of smaller changes (including a new sidebar), but the main thing is that I'm starting to post <A HREF=\"http:\/\/utownwriting.com\/2008\/stories\/the-u-town-murder-case-part-one\">The U-town Murder Case<\/A> over here.  I'm rewriting a bit as I go, mostly expanding things.  In the context of the novel, this is the first time we see U-town, so I wanted to make sure there was a bit more background.  Not to add a lot of heavy exposition, but to make sure the information is there for those who might want it.<\/p>\n<p>Also, I don't think we can start a Jan Sleet murder mystery without a description of what she's wearing.
