If you didn't see it, you can scroll down.<\/p>\n<p>The most interesting comments I've seen this week were for a post called \"<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tsbazelli.com\/blog\/2012\/04\/links-on-race-and-gender\/\">Links on the portrayal of race and gender in the media<\/a>\" over at T.S. Bazelli's blog.<\/p>\n<p>A bunch of Indie YA writers (\"Indie\"=independent, \"YA\"=young adult) have formed a blog together to share their thinking about writing and publishing and promoting young adult fiction. It's called \"<a href=\"http:\/\/www.yaindie.com\/\">YA Indie<\/a>\" and Indie writers should check it out.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of specific posts caught my attention:<UL><LI><a href=\"http:\/\/www.yaindie.com\/2012\/04\/why-your-female-protagonist-doesnt-have.html\">Why your Female Protagonist Doesn't Have to Kick-Butt to be Liked<\/a><\/LI><LI><a href=\"http:\/\/www.yaindie.com\/2012\/04\/pantsing-like-pro.html\">Pantsing like a Pro...<\/a><\/LI><LI><strong>Just added<\/strong>: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yaindie.com\/2012\/04\/race-in-ya-and-hunger-games.html\">Race in YA and The Hunger Games<\/a> (which ties back to the first post above &ndash; I'll read any post which contains the phrase \"I've seen a lot of racist crap in my seventeen years\")<\/LI><\/UL><\/p>\n<p>Oh, and I'll throw in a plug. My friend Alexis is a content editor for Grit City Publications, and they've just published three new titles, two of which she edited (one of them is the first episode of a serial &ndash; you know that's the one I bought first!).
