Stevie One<\/a><\/em> is done. The final part starts here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I am quite pleased with it. It is the story of a teenage girl who runs away from home, for very compelling reasons. She falls in with bad companions, and learns quite a bit about herself and the world. And, in the process, does something pretty remarkable.<\/p>\n

It’s also a mystery, with the famous amateur detective Jan Sleet. And a love story.<\/p>\n

As I always emphasize, despite the description I just gave, this is not a YA (young adult) novel. Too much smoking, for one thing. Gay characters. A bit of violence. Some people do bad things and don’t get punished. You know, kind of like life.<\/p>\n

Also, it’s not a novel. It’s technically a novella, which is the length I was aiming for. Sometimes things work out according to plan. Sometimes.<\/p>\n

Anyway, it’s a good story. Check it out. By mid-week or so, I’ll be posting a link to an HTML version of the whole story, perfect for reading on e-readers.<\/p>\n

So, I’m thinking that one more read-through might be a good idea. I get these hunches from time to time.<\/p>\n
