One odd thing is that it doesn't talk about print-on-demand. It talks a lot about vanity publishing and self-publishing, but the examples indicate that a large amount of cash up front is still necessary to do this, which is really so 20th century.
Because, to pick an example completely at random, there's my book, A Sane Woman, which was published quite nicely with no money up front at all, via lulu.com.
Other than that, though, it's an interesting article.
